V0 of the database chain, built on the OP-stack, proved the core idea end to end — an entity model with built-in expiration and a queryable, tamper-proof data layer.

Trial of fire of the Arkiv PoC: two IRL hackathons. Key to collect the feedback and on-the-ground data that shaped the architectural redesign.

Data-centric, purpose-built DB-chain and its query engine come together to better reflect original vision. SDKs and tooling adapt to the new architecture, and a new public testnet goes live in September.

Independent third-party audits of the protocol.

Architecture redesign implemented and presented around DevCon. Still with centralised block production, paving a way towards decentralisation as the protocol matures. Arkiv is at the DevCon venue with a booth, and special builder activations are planned for the event.

The work after DevCon 8 focuses on improving Web3 features of the protocol such as permissionlessness, trustlessness, and decentralisation.

The roadmap does not stop at decentralisation. What comes after gets decided with the builders and teams using Arkiv.
